Whitney Sithelo

Welcome to Whitney's home page. Whitney Sithelo is the main character in the popular Whitney series, published by Voices in Africa.

The first novel is Whitney's Kiss, in which Whitney is a 13-year-old girl in Grade 7 at Thembalethu Primary.

The second novel in the series is Whitney's Escape, in which Whitney is now 14 years old and in Grade 8 at Thembalethu High School.

The third novel is Whitney's Fortune. Whitney is now 15 years old and in Grade 9.

Each of these three youth novels has a different theme, addressing relevant topics and inspiring young people to examine their values and choices in life. Whitney's life-changing adventures bring the challenges that teenagers face to life, and allows educators to encourage valuable classroom discussions. The books address issues such as relationships, HIV and AIDS, drugs, gangs, self-esteem, entrepreneurship and dealing with hardship, amongst others.
